Bárna
The earliest written record relating to the settlement, referring to a forest, dates back to 1405. The settlement likely perished in the second half of the 16th century, as it is missing from later records. In the 1715 census, it was listed as a noble village, but by 1720, it was classified among the serf villages, with six Hungarian households. In 1770, it was owned by János Gömöry, in 1826 by Count Teleki, and later by the Baron Jósika family. In the "Geographical Dictionary of Hungary" edited by Elek Fényes and published in 1851, the village is still listed under the name "Barna" with a population of 532. In the first half of the 20th century, there was a coal mine operating within the boundaries of the settlement.
