Agatha Christie: The Murder of Roger Ackroyd
A performance by Veres 1 Theatre
"The brilliant Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot, who has solved numerous mysterious and enigmatic cases, retires. Seeking to enjoy his peaceful retirement, he moves to the friendly yet somewhat uneventful English country estate of King’s Abbott. However, shortly after his arrival, two inexplicable deaths occur in the village. The Scotland Yard inspector assigned to the case is out of his depth, so at the request of the grieving family, Poirot – retirement or not – throws himself into the obsessive pursuit of truth with his usual fervour, likely solving the final case of his career. Assisting him is the local doctor, Dr James Sheppard, and through their ingenious collaboration, the truth is uncovered, which turns out to be far more surprising than one might expect."
