“Over thirty years ago, at the time of the premiere of 'The Attic', I was hanging around the Vígszínház and its surroundings. Was I a part-time dramaturge? I honestly can’t recall! All I remember is that I was there ‘on the attic’, always present at the rehearsals, though I would never have believed, even in my wildest dreams, if someone had told me that one day I would direct it multiple times. Now, at Veres 1 Theatre, the wonders, the magic, and the fantastic fairy tale about ghosts and mortals come alive again. One of the miraculous aspects is that the play is performed by outstanding actors. The secret of its success lies primarily in the work itself and its performers, and of course, the audience who ‘plays along’ with us!
I don’t know if today, when 'The Attic' has become a classic, there is anything more to say about it, or if it’s even right to quote more from the play than its now-iconic line: »because there must be a place!« (György Böhm – director)

The performance is 125 minutes long, with one interval.
