Close - What Connects Us

Sarolta Dobray invites attendees to an intimate and sensitive evening to celebrate the release of her new short story collection, Close.

The book captures the smallest yet most profound vibrations of life: the experience of motherhood, the pain of loss, the memories of childhood, the quiet, whispering moments, and those tiny gestures we often overlook in the rush of everyday life. Yet, if we let them come close to us, entire worlds can unfold within them. These stories remind us how important it is to stop searching for what divides us and instead focus on what connects us. We are all part of these writings: our feelings, doubts, losses, and triumphs speak through them.

The evening's special guest is Dr György Bánki, who will not only be present as a psychiatrist but also as a composer and performer. He will accompany the stories with his own musical compositions while offering psychological insights to help us uncover new layers within ourselves.
