Light and Fury

Light and Fury is an autobiographical monodrama about a boy who journeys from candlelight to the spotlight. Along the way, he is accompanied by the living and the dead, who either ignite a brighter light within him or extinguish something.

Imagine being born on a farm! Imagine there’s no electricity! Imagine that your first experience of light comes from the stars, the flame of a candle, a kerosene lamp, and your mother’s smile! And imagine that the greatest light doesn’t come from an object but from a single sentence!
As darkness gradually gives way to light, everything becomes more visible. But it’s not certain that what was once hidden in darkness is something we wanted to see.

As he searches for answers, it is his questions that begin to shape him.

Who am I? Where is my home? What do we inherit from our parents? Can a person ever truly feel at home in their past, their present, or even within themselves?
