SPANISH LIES (Heatstroke)
Eric Chappell's comedy
Two English gentlemen arrive at a villa in Spain: one with his wife, Fay, and the other, the ageing TV actor Howard, who is spending time with his partner Dodie, twenty years his junior. Both couples are simply looking for a peaceful, pleasant long weekend at their boss's luxurious holiday home – which they believe to be unoccupied – on the southern Spanish coast. However, their tranquil retreat is disrupted by unexpected visitors: Detective Raynor and a gangster known as Dog also make an appearance. The meeting of these peculiar characters is further complicated by three identical suitcases, each containing something entirely different, sparking a series of humorous and utterly absurd situations.
