More information
In the spring of 1918, workers at the foot of Dereszla Hill found gold jewellery, which archaeologists later determined to belong to the people who lived in the area 4,000 years ago. In 1921, another major set of finds was unearthed: the excavation of a prehistoric cemetery revealed the Bronze Age Bodrogkeresztúr culture. You can discover the relics found in the Treasure Trove.

Story Finder The soul of a place lies in the stories of its people, not in the loudspeakers of tourist buses. Book a locally guided tour and listen as a place comes to life.
-
Accessible Traveller Accessible services benefit everyone: parents with young children, the elderly, and those with temporary injuries too. By using them and providing feedback, you help create a more inclusive tourism experience for everyone.
-
Family-Friendly Explorer Child- and baby-friendly services indicate that a place caters to all stages of life. If you're travelling with children, choose these options and involve them in sustainability efforts too – a child earning a badge today by refilling a water bottle could become a conscious traveller tomorrow.

Sustainability status report
The values shown here are produced in I-DEST's internal self-assessment system, based on self-declared data provided by the service provider or location. The feedback shows progress in various areas of sustainability and serves an informative purpose that supports development.
The I-DEST snapshot is not an official sustainability rating, not a certification, not an ecolabel and not the result of an independent audit. If the service provider or location holds an external, independent sustainability certification, we indicate that separately.
