‘Seven Hundred!’ – The Louis I Memorial March
A historic parade in the heart of Miskolc.
Miskolc is preparing for a spectacular historic parade on 17 October to mark the 700th anniversary of the birth of King Louis I. The procession will feature 700 re-enactors showcasing seven defining periods of Hungarian military history, from the Conquest to the present day.
Between Városház Square and the Villanyrendőr, medieval knights, archers, border fortress soldiers, hussars, and modern soldiers will march. Families can also enjoy horse and dog shows, military vehicles, and interactive programmes.
