Legendary Latabárs
The Miskolc Actor Museum, Thália House, celebrates its 30th anniversary.
The Miskolc Actor Museum is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a special birthday gift: the Latabár family’s collection of 13 paintings, spanning multiple generations, has been donated to the theatre history collection of the Herman Ottó Museum.
The oldest works, created in the 1860s, depict Endre Latabár, the first director of the Miskolc Theatre, and his family, while paintings from the 1950s feature Kálmán Latabár and his children. The collection thus spans a century of history while also preserving important memories of Miskolc’s theatrical past.
