For nearly twenty years, he has been one of the most exciting driving forces of Budapest's improvisational music scene. Trumpeter and composer Lőrinc Barabás transports his audience to new worlds with every performance: his music is born at the thrilling crossroads of jazz, electronica, and neo-classical sounds.
His latest solo album enchants with minimalist, melancholic pieces that evoke the musical universes of Nils Frahm and Ólafur Arnalds, yet always with a unique, unmistakably Barabás sound.
Twelve albums, two symphonic works (Metamorphosis, 2019; Play, 2022), countless concerts across Europe and the United States, and shared stages with icons such as Erik Truffaz, Nicola Conte, and Valerie June. His music has resonated at the world's most prestigious festivals: Montreux, North Sea Jazz, iTunes Festival, Hong Kong, Dubai, and many more.
