Affirming Life - The Unforgettable Radnóti
A powerful performance compiled from the poems and diaries of Miklós Radnóti, reflecting the poet's moral integrity, human dignity, and timeless intellectual legacy.
“Now I puff out my chest and let my voice ring out, resound! I’d sell it… But how?” – wrote Miklós Radnóti at just 22 years old.
Today, it is widely recognised what Radnóti’s body of work means to Hungarian poetry and culture. Less well-known, however, is the moral strength and unblemished purity that – in the words of his friend Gyula Ortutay – he preserved until his death, and which forms part of the spiritual and moral heritage of the entire nation.
This performance, drawing on Radnóti’s diary entries and poems, pays tribute to this exceptional spirit.
