"I am going to kill Attila József..."

A subjective exploration of Attila József's poetry, directed by Ferenc Fandl, with a compelling performance by Szonja Rudolf, Attila Harsányi and Ferenc Fandl at the TTH Stage Latabár Hall on 8th November 2026 at 7:00 PM.

Who is the real Attila József? The angry recorder of dark emotional states, thoughts, obsessions, erotic fantasies, and outbursts compiled in the 'Free Ideas' notebook, or the dreamer constantly striving for harmony, clinging to every bit of beauty? Some believe the 'Free Ideas' notebook should never have seen the light of day, as it damages the “traditional” image of Attila József and alters people's opinions of him. Yet the harsh reality remains that every word the poet ever put to paper is the product of the same mind… and we are interested in the whole person. The entirety of who Attila József was.

The performance lasts 60 minutes without an interval.
