The Notary Upstairs - Comedy
A notary goes missing, chaos ensues, misunderstandings, a tangled legal situation, and two hours of laughter.
The Notary Upstairs is just as chaotic and hilarious as the legal cases it portrays. Everyone is looking for the notary, who strangely is always somewhere else and isn’t even sure if they are truly the notary. The play’s protagonist, Kálmán Szabó, prepares contracts and certificates, yet despite the information board outside his office, no one seems to find him.
The actors brilliantly bring the characters to life – Lola, Aunt Rozi, Carmen the shape-shifting actress, and the client are all part of the chaos – guaranteeing laughter for a full two hours. You don’t need to be a lawyer to enjoy the tangled situations: everyone in the theatre will have a great time, whether you’re a judge, prosecutor, or notary.
