Matyó Easter

On 5–6 April 2026, Mezőkövesd will once again host Matyó Easter, where visitors can enjoy colourful traditional programmes, puppet shows, children’s activities, and concerts. Performers include Fruzsina Kovácsovics and Tamás Vastag.

On Easter Monday, the spectacular festive parade and sprinkling traditions will bring Matyó heritage to life. In the Hadas district, visitors can explore a craft market, master demonstrations, egg painting, and family-friendly activities.


Entry and parking are free, except for museum programmes.
