Concert by József Wunderlich, Bálint Tárkány-Kovács and the Tárkány Művek

A special evening where the thoughts of Béla Hamvas come to life in song, as if they were reborn from the silence of the vineyards above Lake Balaton, infused with wine and philosophy.

"What if Béla Hamvas had written songs alongside his philosophical essays? What if, on the vineyards of Szigliget above Lake Balaton, when the writer was alone with God and wine, he had expressed his thoughts in song? Perhaps he did, but only the vines and starlings listened, the basalt hills echoed them, and now only the wind remembers. During the evening, the performers will draw from Hamvas's works, transforming his intriguing writings into songs, with a special focus on wine, 'The Philosophy of Wine', and the deeper thoughts behind gastronomy, which emerge in seemingly innocent essays like 'God's Afternoon Snack' and 'Fried Soup'."
