This thematic experience tour starts in Miskolc's historic city centre and leads participants to one of the city's most unique areas, Avas, where the past and present form a distinctive unity. During the programme, the urban walk is closely intertwined with a gastronomic experience, offering participants a comprehensive insight into Miskolc's cultural and wine heritage.

The walk begins in front of the Tourinform Office, passing through the historic city centre, taking in the area around the Szinva Terrace and the building of the Miskolc National Theatre. Along the route, the city's iconic landmarks are brought to life alongside the stories that have shaped Miskolc's everyday life, literary and cultural scene.

The bustling city centre is soon replaced by the calmer, more nature-oriented surroundings of Avas. The narrow streets, centuries-old cellars, and press houses of the Avas wine cellar rows reveal a unique world, telling the story of Miskolc's former wine trade and production history. The area is home to nearly 800 cellars, whose stories are closely intertwined with the city's development. Memories of the former entertainment district, literary connections, and personal anecdotes further enrich the experience.

As part of the programme, several local wineries offer tastings, allowing participants to discover the distinctive flavours of the wine region and the traditions of local winemaking. Throughout the tour, the gastronomic experience and historical background complement each other, providing an opportunity to uncover the stories behind the wines.

The walk concludes at the Avas Lookout, where the city's panorama unfolds from a unique perspective. From here, the route leads back to the city centre via the Avas Reformed Church and the historic cemetery, heading towards Erzsébet Square.
