The Miskolc Zoo's Birthday
The Miskolc Zoo is 42 years old! On the festive day, colourful family programmes, puppet shows, and special feeding demonstrations await visitors.
Back in 1983, the zoo, born from the collaboration of the people of Miskolc, opened its doors as a Wildlife Park with the aim of bringing everyone closer to the wildlife of Hungary's forests. Since then, it has developed immensely: over 120 animal species from almost every corner of the world – all set in one of Hungary's most stunning natural environments!
All-day colourful programmes await:
10:00–18:00 – Free face painting for all ages
10:30 – “The Little Rooster's Diamond Halfpenny” – A performance by the Csodamalom Puppet Theatre
Extra feeding demonstrations throughout the day!
