Night of Zoos
On 29 August 2025, the Miskolc Zoo will once again welcome visitors with special programmes and evening adventures during the Night of Zoos. Discover the residents of the urban wilderness, join feeding shows, and enjoy the rhythm of African drums under the starlit sky!
On Friday, 29 August 2025, the Night of Zoos will be held nationwide, with the Miskolc Zoo and Cultural Park also joining the event.
On this special evening, visitors will be treated to exciting programmes, the unique atmosphere of the "urban wilderness," and unforgettable experiences. This year's theme highlights the coexistence of nature and humans in urban areas: which animals have adapted best to living near humans, and what challenges can arise from such encounters.

African dance and drum performance – Abdoul Camara (Culture Africa Foundation)

Stars up close – telescope demonstration by Bükki Csillagda

Discovering the world of birds – interactive stand by the Bükki Local Group of MME

Feeding shows with a special evening atmosphere

"Unloved" animals – reptiles, amphibians, and insects up close

Touch Zoo – skulls, eggs, feathers, and skins in a hands-on format
Opening hours:
Programmes run from 19:00 to 23:00, with the zoo closing at 23:00.
The ticket office is open continuously from 9:00 to 22:00, allowing visitors arriving during the day to stay for the evening programmes.
Tickets are also available online, so you can avoid queuing.
