A detailed description of the route can be found on the borbringa.hu website. The route was compiled by the staff of the Tokaj Wine Region Development Nonprofit Ltd., and its publication was authorised by them. 

The tour starts in Tokaj, from where we cycle towards Rakamaz via the cycle path over the Tisza Bridge. Once across the river, it’s worth stopping by the Turtle House Visitor Centre, and then crossing charming floodplain bridges, we arrive in Rakamaz. From the roundabout in the town, we continue cycling towards Nyíregyháza on the cycle path, and after passing through the railway crossing on Dózsa György Street, we proceed along a quiet, shaded agricultural asphalt road lined with trees towards Balsa.

After about 5 kilometres, we reach a right-angled right turn, followed 1 kilometre later by a left-curving asphalt road junction. Turning left here takes you directly to Balsa. If you continue straight on the asphalt road, you’ll arrive in Gávavencsellő – as the two settlements have almost merged, you can explore both with a small detour. Once in Balsa, it’s definitely worth visiting the Ecotourism Visitor Centre.

On the way back, we cycle along the Rétköz cycle path, passing through Szabolcs and Tímár towards Rakamaz. In Szabolcs village, a must-see is the famous earthen fort, which is the largest of its kind in Central Europe to have survived intact and is freely accessible all year round. Returning to Rakamaz, we follow the already familiar roundabout and cycle path back to the starting point in Tokaj.
