Lendava
The easternmost Slovenian town is full of fascinating attractions. Small Lendava is a big symbol of coexistence and diversity, culture and gastronomy. It is equally distant from Ljubljana, Budapest, Zagreb, and Vienna, and is considered a cultural hub where the Slovenian, Hungarian, Croatian, and Roma communities live in harmony. Add to this its reputation for excellent wines, its status as the capital of bograč, and a place where you can rejuvenate both body and soul in the thermal spas, and the list of reasons to visit and experience Lendava just keeps growing. Lendava's greatest asset is its diversity, which you can feel at every step, along with the rich cultural heritage and history of the town, as told by the stories of its old town centre. Take a stroll along the wine road, the easternmost in Slovenia, dotted with wine cellars offering stunning views of the landscape. Surrounded by green fields and beautiful nature, Lendava is also a fantastic destination for active holidaymakers. Cycling and hiking are popular activities in this area, with numerous trails and paths perfect for adventurous exploration of the town and its surroundings. The local culinary offerings are impressive, with a wide range of dishes that reflect the region's gastronomic story, and among the most iconic dishes is undoubtedly bograč. Welcome to our town!
