Langoš Festival
Under the auspices of the Gaberje Tourist Association near Lendava, the Gaberje Local Community, and in collaboration with other associations, a langoš festival will take place at the village hall in Gaberje, featuring a competition for the best langoš. Langoš is believed to have originated many years ago as a dish from neighbouring Hungary and made its way to Prekmurje, particularly in ethnically mixed areas. It is a traditional dish that has already established itself in Prekmurje and is envisioned to be protected as a culinary trademark of the region in the future. In Gaberje, there is a strong desire to protect it as a trademark and offer it to tourists and visitors who come to the riverside village of Gaberje and the municipality of Lendava. It is a homemade dish that our grandmothers used to prepare in their time, each with their own variations of the recipe.
