The Massa Museum in Újmassa, part of the Metallurgical Museum, showcases the hundred-year history of the Diósgyőr-Hámor Ironworks and the activities of the Fazola family, who played a significant role in the life of the factory. Next to the museum building stands one of Hungary's most important industrial monuments, the only surviving blast furnace: the block of the 'Fazola Furnace'. The reconstructed waterwheel-powered forge (hámor) often echoes with the strikes of the large hammer, while on the other side of the babbling Garadna stream, the open-air museum of machinery used in ironworking and mining captures visitors' attention. The heritage buildings maintained by the museum offer a rich collection of artefacts, historical and technical documents, and elements of intangible heritage for visitors to explore.
