One of the most renowned pilgrimage sites in the Bükk Mountains is the Cross of Limpias. The corpus is a replica of the original wooden sculpture created by Andalusian sculptor Pedro de Mena in the northern Spanish town of Limpias. Like the Virgin Mary of Lourdes, the Limpias shrine is also attributed with miraculous healings and events.
