Walking along the four-kilometre-long nature trail, you can explore the valleys of the Szinva and Garadna streams and the Kiss Plateau, gaining insight into the area's natural and cultural heritage. Nature Trail in the Bükk Mountains This hiking route is classified as a comprehensive environmental education trail, as it provides an in-depth overview of the local flora and fauna, while also offering a stunning geological perspective of the Bükk Mountains. The most beautiful stops along the Szinva Nature Trail include the alder grove by the Szinva Stream, the hornbeam-oak woodland around Molnár Rock, and the limestone rock grassland with its unique plant and animal life. The area is rich in remarkable geological phenomena, as it is one of the country's most karst-rich regions. The Ancient Home of Prehistoric Humans Hiking in this part of the Bükk Mountains is like taking a journey back in time, as it is home to the prehistoric Szeleta culture's "centre", the Szeleta Cave and the Szeleta Shaft, which are among Hungary's most significant archaeological sites.
