The aim of the collection is to help you discover Miskolc's once-thriving mining culture! The Collection can be visited free of charge upon prior registration!

What you see in the exhibition is only a fragment of the tools and memories of mining, which has a history spanning thousands of years. The exhibitors did not aim for completeness, as such a grand goal was beyond their reach. They had to be content with presenting just a small slice of mining, as the exhibition space and financial resources placed limits on their imagination. According to the founders' intentions, this collection was at least meant to signal that Miskolc and its surroundings once had a flourishing mining culture, much more diverse and extensive than it is today.

The Collection can be visited on weekdays between 9 am and 1 pm by prior registration!
