Actor Museum - Thália House
The Miskolc National Theatre is the country's oldest theatre with a rich history, and within its complex, on the site of the first permanent Hungarian-language theatre in Royal Hungary, lies the actor museum. Its permanent exhibition summarises the history of Miskolc's theatrical tradition from the era of travelling theatre troupes to the present day. For younger visitors, a children's corner awaits with puppets, costumes, colouring books, and creative activities. Temporary exhibitions not only feature historical chamber displays but also contemporary art exhibitions reflecting on the history of theatre arts. The museum's cultural programmes engage all age groups, from the youngest to retirees.
